Celebrate the harvest and bounty of the Youth Farm and the community. Visit our farmers market, bob for apples, take a hay-ride (urban farming style), toss some eggs, and visit the Art Bus. Bring your child, your inner child, or BOTH!

Moviehouse Presents: A Brooklyn Screening of American Meat

Come see a snippet of our hens in this amazing new documentary about animal husbandry. Afterwards, there will be a panel discussion with filmmakers Memo Salazar and Graham Meriweather (of Leave It Better); Donald Arrant, livestock manager at Glynwood Farm; and Stacey Murphy of BKFY.

Back to School...Field Trip?

As the season winds down, you still have a little time to bring your class or your group to the Youth Farm for a tour or a workshop. Our curriculum has something for everyone. We'll also come to your classroom this winter to cover a range of topics from nutrition & food systems to sustainable farming & food justice.

Food Justice Organizers to Occupy Wall Street TODAY!

The food justice movement joins the nationwide movement to restore justice to our economy. BK Farmers are organizing a fresh food drop off to support the activists: please go in our stead as we man our farmers market.

'Occupy Wall Street is leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%.'

Black Farmers & Urban Gardeners Conference

There are many ways to get involved and 'Grow Health, Wealth, and Justice!' Farmers, activists, eaters from across the nation are convening in the Bronx this year.
