Keeping Cool: 85˚ & sunny at the farm

Sometimes you just gotta take the time to smell the roses or breakdance in the sprinkler.

It was hot this weekend. We aren't complaining: it just meant more breaks to cool down, blow off steam, and get to know each other better. And, of course, water the newly seeded beds several times.

We have now planted beets, carrots, lettuce, kale, collard greens, turnips, dill, red okra, zinnias, and sunflowers. We have plenty of other veggies seeded and hardening off in our cold frames as well.

The site closest to the school entrance is starting to look less like a lawn and more like a farm. I can't wait until that kale is as tall as me! Come out and join us any Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
